The software uses 256-bit encryption algorithm, a pretty tight and secure way to protect your files. You can also lock files/folders by right-clicking on them and selecting the “Kruptos 2 Professional” item. A window will pop-up and ask you to type the password you want to encrypt them with. At the bottom is the status bar, where you can see the number of files in the file list and their total size.Įncrypting files/folders is not hard just add them to the list and click “Encrypt”. From the third tab you can remove the explorer pane that is located on the left side of the screen and view only the current file list. The first tab has the most buttons and shares some with the second tab. Kruptos 2 has a ribbon interface with 3 tabs: Home, Selection and View. Supported operating systems are Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit editions compatible). No malicious (or any additional software for that matter) is contained in the setup package. The overall procedure won’t take more than a minute. There are only a couple of steps and no advanced settings at any of them. If for some reason you want to share confidential files to someone else, you can do so by sending an encrypted version of those files that can be unlocked in a computer that doesn’t have Kruptos 2 installed.
